As you might have figured out already..... I read a lot of Technotes!  What is even more amazing is at times I can actually remember what I read and put it to use.  Over the last week the competition for "Best Technote ever" Has been heating up.

First I thought Technote 1329568 was a contender, I mean you just have to like anything that begins "Oops, that didn't work".  However, it lost all originality when a couple of days later Technote 1329564  was published with the same beginning.

Today though we come to the real winner Technote 1367094

Now this is BRILLIANT!, I think every technote should include contact information, while my day might be ruined by a server crash,  it would be OK if the server told me who could fix this specific issue.

Should you run in to this particular issue (it affects Domino 8.5 on AIX) simply call 1-800-IBM-SERV Option 2,1,1 and ask to speak to Russ (unless of course you have his e-mail address or direct line), and yes I know Russ.

1 - I know Russ, too. And I find myself wondering if someone included that message as the result of an engineering debate with him. Emoticon

2 - LOL... that's all I have to say!

3 - The Russ technote isn't accessible via http any longer but still exists when accessing from Notes client.

4 - Mitch - this is a really great and funny blog post. We will take your feedback in writing tech notes into serious consideration. Thanks for the feedback :)

5 - Oh man... I laughed like for an hour.
